The team at WICEN(World Internships & Cultural Exchange Networks), has a wealth of experience in placing interns. We work hard to understand the needs of both our interns and host organisations. Please have a browse through our step by step guide to hosting an intern. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact one of our friendly team.
The process starts with one of our experienced team members visiting your company to discuss the position and the requirements of your company. During this meeting you'll also have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
We'll take the internship brief provided by your company and search our database to find the perfect match for your company. Once the right match has been found, we'll forward the prospective intern's profile and other relevant documentation to you for your consideration. At this stage one of our team members will act as a mediator between your company and the intern. We'll make sure you have all the necessary information, every step of the way.
Your contact person at WICEN(World Internships & Cultural Exchange Networks), will set up an interview with the candidate. The majority of our host organisations do a phone interview, but it's also possible to do it via Skype.
After the interview your contact person at WICEN(World Internships & Cultural Exchange Networks), will follow up with both you and the intern. At this stage both parties decide whether they want to proceed or not.
If both parties are happy with the outcome of the interview then we'll put together a contract to sign and formalise the internship for both the intern and the company. In some instances an intern will also provide a contract from their university or colleges. We'll help assist with all the paperwork.
WICEN(World Internships & Cultural Exchange Networks), will assist with all necessary documents and papers, flight information, insurance, accommodation, and we can even introduce the intern on their first day at your company.
We'll support the intern from their very first day. Your intern will meet with our team and take part in an orientation ensuring the intern is fully equipped for their internship.
During the internship we'll follow up with your company to see how everything's going. If it's all going well we're happy to stay in the background, but we'll always be available for support if needed.
We'll invite the interns out on social activities and weekend trips to help them make the most of their time in designated country. They'll have a social network and support until the end of their stay.
Many of our host companies find the WICEN(World Internships & Cultural Exchange Networks), internship program works so well for them; they want to host interns all year round. Before one of the interns leaves we can organise for them to be replaced by another intern. In these situations the intern can handover their knowledge and some of the skills they have gained during their internship.
