Our internship programme in Canada is a great opportunity for you to further your career aspirations as well as experience living and working abroad. It offers you the chance to improve your skills in a professional environment and enhance your employment opportunities, so that when you return home your CV will stand out from the crowd when applying for that dream job.
In an increasingly competitive job market, we aim to organise placements that match the career and professional objectives of all our interns. Placements range from 2 months to 12 months – the longer your placement the more beneficial you will find the work and the more knowledge you will gain. Our partner in Canada works with a wide selection of companies from small family run firms that provide an all-round practical experience, to large multinationals and specialist enterprises. All employers are screened before any of our interns are placed with them.
Whilst many companies are based in the city centres, some placements are located further away. Your hours of work will vary depending on the placement, but are generally between 20 – 37.5 hours per week. Your internship programme includes an orientation covering everything you need to know about working in Canada, as well as a complete information pack on every aspect of living and working in Canada.
Note: There are visa restrictions from certain nationalities to apply for this program. There are various countries in agreements in the Working Holiday Programs that allows their youth to do internships and cultural exchange without via restrictions. Please check your local WICEN office if you are eligible to apply for this program.
